Workshop: Body Before Brains

A physical comedy workshop focused on physicality and alignment, tuning our bodies to discover the rhythm to play with, while keeping the brains on the side.

Why do we need jokes to make people laugh? We don't! Our body knows what is funny before the brain does and this workshop will help to wake the body up. Crafted through many workshops on physical comedy, this workshop will make you experience the 'funny' with the body first. The workshop will be interspersed with clown games and exercises for those belly laughs or tears, whatever is your jam.

Runtime: 3 hours

Requirements: Comfortable clothes, a water bottle, and zero judgement

Becoming Santa

Do you still believe? This heartwarming comedy is based on true stories about discovering the truth behind Santa Claus, and what happens after.

Do you remember when it happened to you? Maybe you caught someone eating the cookies by the fireplace, or maybe you heard someone leaving gifts under the tree. Everyone has their own story about the moment they found out, but shhh! Be quiet! Don’t say it out loud-children might be listening! And you don’t want to be the one who accidentally spills the eggnog. So, what happens next? What happens after you post your final letter to the North Pole?

This heartwarming, original comedy sets out to answer just that. Based on true stories of how people discovered the magic of Christmas, "Becoming Santa" will make you laugh like a jolly old elf and is sure to leave you reminiscing over your own holiday traditions and stories. But heed our warning: this play will reveal a lot about the big man in the red suit. So, if your children are still dreaming of sugar plums, it’s best to skip this story…for now.

Cast: Carlos Filomeno, Anna LeFlore, Amie McGaha, Evan Leigh Rumler, Grail Schroeder'

*This is a family friendly show but NOT recommended for children who still believe in Santa Claus!*

Becoming Santa is recommended for ages 13 & up for Adult Language.

In keeping with Without Fear Theatre’s mission, they’ve chosen the Orlando International Fringe Festival for their charitable giving initiative for this production. “We want to help Fringe continue to foster emerging artists the way they have done for us. In the wake of the flood and arts funding veto, it became clear who we wanted to support with this show. We will be selling special merchandise where the proceeds go directly back to Fringe,” said Scheirer.

THE RED STRING: A New Musical

THE RED STRING is a story about following your heart to all the weird, wonderful and unexpected places it will take you.

Nessa is a writer, or at least she’s trying to be; but she’s been having the dreams again. Foreign cities, romantic languages and the one she loves saying those three little words. Sick of slinging drinks, unfulfilled and restless; Nessa decides to follow her dreams. Along with her best friend Sami the two take off on an adventure that’ll change their lives forever. This romantic comedy explores friendship, love, sex, fate and the happy ending.

The show runs 2 hours, 35 minutes with a 15 minute intermission.
