  • Position: Festival First Aid Provider

    Reports To: Festival Operations Co-Managers

    Team: Fringe Festival Operations

    The Festival First Aid Provider is a member of the Orlando Fringe Operations & Safety team reporting to the Festival Operations Co-Managers. He/She/They is one of the people responsible for providing first aid on the festival grounds of the Orlando Fringe Festival. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Fostering the Fringe Community The Festival First Aid Provider cultivates strong relationships with Fringe Festival attendees, staff and volunteers.

    • Provide First Aid In case of emergency, assess the situation quickly and calmly, respond quickly and help with minor injuries such as cuts & bruises as well as major injuries caused by accidents. 

    • Arrange for additional assistance - If necessary, call 911 for a first responder and be prepared to report all necessary information to assist with treatment.

    • Reporting - Detailed reports for each instance are required. 

    • Working under pressure - In case of emergency, assess the situation quickly and calmly. Take the lead, trust your judgement and maintain a positive attitude.

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be comfortable standing/walking for long periods of time, working outdoors in summer temperatures, working long hours and late nights

    • Current First Aid Certification Required

    • Current CPR Certification preferred, not required

    • Keep provided first aid supplies stocked and easily accessible

    • Highly motivated, goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities

    • Team player who can work independently as well as part of a team

    • Demonstrated ability to provide first aid services

    • Experience engaging with first responders

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in completing reports

    • Ability to manage time and adhere to deadlines

    • Demonstrated computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite

    • Passion for Orlando Fringe and the Central Florida arts community

    HOURS/WAGES/BENEFITS

    • The position is based at the Orlando Fringe administration office, 812 E. Rollins St. Suite 300, Orlando, FL 32803. 

    • We are hiring two of these positions

    • Must be available for orientation on May 10th.

    • This is a seasonal position for approximately 77.5 hours during Fringe festival hours from May 13-26, 2026. You will receive a work schedule.

    • Salary - Stipend of $2500 paid over four installments.

  • Position: Festival Operations Assistant

    Reports To: Festival Operations Co-Managers

    Team: Fringe Festival Operations

    The Festival Operations Assistant is a member of the Orlando Fringe’s operations team reporting to the Festival Operations Co-Managers.  He/She/They will be supporting the organization and running of the operations of the Orlando Fringe.  This is a seasonal position and supports the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival. If you are associated with a show in the Festival, please do not apply as it could be a conflict of interest.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Handle guest questions and concerns

    • Handle vendor questions and concerns

    • Be the onsite contact for theatre venue locations

    • Act as Theatre Liaison when needed (loading theatres, scanning tickets, line control) 

    • Assist volunteers with tasks as needed

    • Troubleshoot equipment issues (Square devices, ticket scanners)

    • Participate in Festival Load In/Load Out activities

    • Support Festival Operations Co-Managers with tasks as needed

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be comfortable standing/walking for long periods of time, working outdoors in summer temperatures, working long hours and late nights

    • Highly motivated, goal oriented self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities

    • Must be able to solve problems quickly and effectively

    • Use handheld radio for team communication

    • Use Slack App for team communication

    • Comfortable troubleshooting equipment problems (Computers, Phone Scanners, Square devices)

    • Team player who can work independently and as part of a team

    • Valid Driver’s License (ability to drive a golf cart, if necessary)

    • Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 lbs

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage time and adhere to deadlines

    • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize and complete projects with discretion and good judgment

    • Passion for Orlando Fringe and the Central Florida arts community

    HOURS/WAGES/BENEFITS

    • Salary - $1500 Stipend paid in four installments

  • Position: Festival Operations Co-Manager

    • Team player who can work independently and as part of a team

    • Excellent written communication skills

    • Must be able to lift, push or pull 75lbs

    JOB DUTIES (included but not limited to)

    • Responsible for opening and locking up venues at Orlando Shakespeare each day/scheduling an operations representative to open/lock said venues each day

    • Assist in and work in tandem on the execution of operational elements as requested by Lawn Producer, Site Manager, Visual Fringe, Kids Fringe, Festival Producer and Technical Director and all others as requested and needed

    • Assist with merchandise operations (set up, re-stocking, stock tracking)

    • Work with Bar team for restocking of product/ice/supplies as needed

    • Manage team of Festival Operations Assistants

    • Handle Laptop, Scanner and Square equipment troubleshooting

    • Create, uphold and communicate festival procedures/guidelines/policies throughout the entirety of the Festival

    • Participate in all load-in/load-out operations for the festival

    VISION, PLANNING, COMMUNICATION AND MEETINGS

    • Participate in pre-planning and post meetings as requested

    • Offer vision and direction to further improve all components of the Festival

  • Position: Lawn Producer

    Reports To: Artistic Director/Festival Producer

    Team: Lawn Production Team and Festival Lawn Operations

    The Lawn Producer ensures the successful planning and execution of Festival Lawn performance and experience related activities at The Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, including but not limited to:

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be comfortable standing/walking for long periods of time, working outdoors in summer temperatures and working late nights and long hours, if needed

    • Budget Management - manage event budget for all artistic and experience elements of the outdoor festival 

    • Outdoor Stage booking - have established relationships in the Orlando music scene, preferred, not required

      • Artist Recruitment - invite artists to perform on the Outdoor Stage

        • Creating application process

        • Creating artist contracts

      • Artist relations - work closely with all artists managing performance schedules, load in and load out schedules, contracts and payments

    • Lawn Experience - Offer vision and planning for artistic lawn experience

    • Have basic knowledge of technical elements used for an outdoor performance venue

    • Team player who can work independently but also collaborate as part of a team to execute vendor selection and festival grounds layout

    • Highly motivated, goal oriented self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities

    • On-Site Execution - Supervise artistic and experience activities ensuring everything runs smoothly and address any issues that arise

    • Must be able to solve problems quickly and effectively

    • Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 lbs

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage time and adhere to deadlines

    • Passion for Orlando Fringe and the Central Florida Arts Community

    • Offer vision and direction to further improve the lawn experience of the Festival, specifically by forging new partnerships and initiatives

  • Position: Festival Site Manager

    Reports To: Managing Director

    Team: Festival Lawn Operations

    The Festival Site Manager is a member of the Orlando Fringe’s operations team reporting to the Managing Director.  He/She/They will be supporting the organization and running of the lawn operations of the Orlando Fringe.  This is a seasonal position and supports the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival. The Festival Site Manager ensures the successful execution of all non-performance related outdoor lawn activities at the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, including but not limited to:

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Budget Management - manage event budget for all elements of the outdoor festival 

    • Client/Vendor relations - work closely with all clients/vendors managing load in and load out schedules, contracts and payments

      • Coordinate contracts with the following

        • Food Truck/Merchandise Vendors

        • Golf Carts

        • Tents, Tables, Chairs

        • Portable Toilets

        • Security

        • Police 

        • City of Orlando Families, Parks, and Recreation

  • Position: Sustainability Assistant

    Reports To: Sustainability Manager

    Team: Festival Lawn Operations

    The Sustainability Assistant works closely with the Sustainability Manager to ensure a beautiful and well-kept lawn at the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, with duties including but not limited to:

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work in tandem with the Sustainability Manager to accomplish sustainability goals

    • Maintain relationship with composting company (O-Town Compost)

    • Ensure food vendors adhere to the Single Use Products Policy put forth by the City’s Office of Sustainability

    • Be present and assist Sustainability Manager, Site Manager, Lawn Producer and Operations Team with Festival Load in and Festival load out of all elements relating to the lawn

    • Support the mission of the Sustainability team by educating patrons, artists and staff 

    • Effectively manage all green team volunteers in absence of the Sustainability Manager

    • Remove and properly dispose of compost, trash and recycled items from garbage bins as needed

    • Assist in disposal of recycling at Orlando Shakespeare Theatre & OFS bar locations

    • Regularly walk the lawn and clean up debris and trash as needed

    • Track supplies needed: trash bags, recycle bags, gloves and alert Sustainability Manager if items need ordered

    • Valid Driver’s License (ability to drive a golf cart, if necessary)

    PLANNING, COMMUNICATION AND MEETINGS

    • Actively participate in team communication (Slack, email, walkie-talkie radio)

    • Offer vision and direction to further improve all components of the Festival

  • The Orlando Fringe Internship Program offers emerging arts professionals real-world experience in nonprofit arts administration, festival operations, and live event production. Interns begin with a broad rotation across departments before specializing in a focused role tied to their interests and career goals. The program includes weekly education seminars, 1-on-1 mentorship, hands-on training, and the opportunity to contribute directly to the 2026 Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival.
